Ok guys sorry it took so long i got home and passed out, so the guy said my system was out of time, one ofthe actuator pins was engaged while the other wasnt(causing the vibe) all they had to do was reset the 4wd(somehow) and it works like a charm now wit no vibes!! And didnt cost me or Toyota a penny... I could not be happier

Well it dont vibrate no more, 4wd works, And was free so idc ifnits bs or not haha just happy to have it working!!

Talk to Fred and Joe about that. So far they have been waiting for 8 months........with 1k out of pocket and getting lied to the whole time. That's NO good.

I never openly said anything on the forum, but I'm sure I told most of you I was lied to as well about mine shipping via Fastenall. Little did Eric know that I worked 1 mile from the local Fastenall that I had a master account with them for work. I contacted my sales rep who in turn contacted corperate when my sales rep couldn't find any info on my shipment. Turns out it had never actually shipped.... My rep called the local Fastenall that was picking up the shipments at his shop and turns out he was getting calls from many other people regarding the same exact issue.

Pay via Paypal linked to a credit card and make sure your order is in writing along with the lead time from him in writing. Cover your bases. Ive heard allot of bad things recently.

Never buy anything on Paypal linked to your bank account. Once the money is withdrawn your screwed. No amount of good luck is going to get your money back that was sent 8 months prior.

I talked up how good the bumpers are and now I feel bad that local guys are getting the run around. While I don't know the inside story I trust Joe and Fred to be honest guys so before anyone else gets the shaft I just wanted to air the truth.

 

He just doesn't seem to have his shit together. Maybe took on too much too fast. Eric showed off 1st gen bumpers back in April, said a group buy would open up in May-ish. 3 months later Tim opened a second group buy on his front and still had one going for the rear so I went with his instead. A month later and my bumpers are being built, probably be done in a week or so. Still no group buy from Eric...

 

This is why 95% of the time I only ask for a $40 deposit for my color match grills & only take payment when I'm within a few days of shipping them out.
I don't want to take $$$ and not give them their product...
Not a good practice to get into.
Who wants to wait MONTHS for a mod???
I'm doing my best to keep lead times to 2-3 weeks to shipping.

I just sent him a PM and asked him if the story's were true. I did everything I could to get the guy business so if I'm being outright lied to I will flame him openly.

In my opinion I would never buy one of those. It's one thing to camp in a truck bed with a cap or softtopper or something similar, but with that you would have to empty the bed completely, set up the tent, and then if you need to drive the truck, you have to take down the tent and load up the bed again. No matter what the price, I dont think it's worth it. Plus I dont think they are very good quality. Get a regular tent and you'll be much happier, and probably much more comfortable.
I do like the idea of a roof top tent, but only for specific camping trips. definitely not something that would work all the time, every time. one nighters would be perfect in it, or trips where you are camping in different locations each night. BUT they are over a grand anyway.

And originally I only went with Tim because I wanted to give him some business and I was pleased with how quickly he shipped my reciever hitch shackle.
Now I'm even more happy with him and will reccomend him to anyone.
