Should I paint my wheels like this?

Has anyone painted their wheels like this? I think I am going to. What do you think?

 

You should probably paint the front AND back wheels the same.

If you do paint them, you might want to have them powdercoated. Regular paint will just come off with rocks, dirt, and debris. Powdercoating is a lot more durable.

 

not true. I spray bombed my stockers flat black, and there still holding up 2 years later

My wife says no -- don't do it... but she doesn't know what she's talking about...

 

Now she says it depends on what color you choose... not blue like my truck. (she must have missed the part where it says you want to paint them black.)

 

Red with black wheels looks sweet! Go for it!

 

do you have any pictures?i'm thinking of doing the same, just not sure how well the hold up.

 

If you do scratch your wheel where it requires touch up, it would be easier to touch up a painted wheel IMO than it would be trying to match the color of the powder coat.

I am too. Someone on here used that hammered paint and it came out kinda cool. The black he sprayed came out like a dark gunmetal.

 

hammered paint? i've never heard of that. do you know who it was?

 

Just about anywhere that sells rattle cans has it. I bought a can at true value before.

 

Dupli-color makes a wheel paint kit, even has a how to video on their website.
