    the problem with this is that your departure angle will not improve. The stock hitch is in a very bad place when it comes to wheeling.. which is why most are getting rid of it for one of these higher clearance bumpers.

    do what you want, but it wont be any better for offroad.

    No I understand why someone who wheels their stuff wouldn't want it down there, but hardcore offroading isn't my thing. I couldn't imagine my truck without the hitch.
