damn dave that picking is crazy accurate. awesome stuff.
Im about 2-3 weeks away from having the studio back together and being able to play some more. I cant really play right now anyways as I was installing an AC unit and fileted my index finger with the radiator on the back.

Heres how the jam space looked a few weeks ago before tearing it all apart to add carpet.

My parents are renovating a house and I got some free carpet so I did 36" up on the walls. I am hoping it cleans up the sound. adds a bit of warmth and keeps my neighbors sane.
I still have to add trim but heres a shot i took halfway through.

Really jonesing to jam and record again.

Well, I didn't really want to post this mix cause it sounds like shit and repetetive but it was my 2nd or 3rd mix on my tascam when I bought it. Was just tryin to figure out the sliders. and mostly to bump the thread up :)

What kind of tascam you using? Sorry to ask if its been posted already. I am in the market for a multitrack but not sure which direction to head. I would love to be able to record at least 4 channels at once out of at least 8 or 16 wether its to an old tape system or something newer that runs into garageband or similar. I have a macbook pro and other than garageband the only thing I have ever used to record was a portastudio 4 track.

    It's the "DP-02cf" very clean.
    Its and 8 track digi.
I also have an older fostex analog 4 track tape that I use sometimes as well as the 24 track digi that comes with "rockband" on imac.

The tascam only has 2 inputs which is ghey but since I only record 1 track at a time, it doesnt matter. I just stackem.

Yeah I really want to be able to record drums with at least 4 tracks so thats why I was hoping to get something that can record 4 at once. Or 2 drum mics one bass and one guitar for jam sessions.

I have a bheringer 6 ch mixer if I need to record more than 2 chan.
Most everything I do is by myself anyway but if I have some friends come over for a fri night or something and we start playing I just run thru the bheringer from 6 into 2 stereo bus and it turns out pretty good.

get online and learn music theory. i hate theory, but i try to spend some time each week learning scales and all the cords of different keys and what not. i took piano lessons when i was young, sax in middle school and guitar for about 4 years so i can read music pretty good. kind of picked up the uke, banjo, and harmonica along the way too. as they say "jack of all trades, master of NONE!". but im working on it. :D
