As a HUGE WVU fan, its ppl like that that give us a bad name. 95% of our fans aren't like that. I talked with about 20-30 LSU fans at the game saturday and EVERY one of them complimented our fans for treating them so nice. Only one guy said he was a little disappointed about some drunk fans screaming F*CK you LSU when they were walking to the game. But, in the same sentence, he said "i guess its just payback for our fans yelling F*CK you WVU when you guys came to our house last year".

All teams are going to have the good and the bad. I've had people tell me how bad UGA fans were at the games. I've never seen anything like what they've described. Not saying it doesn't happen but just that it must be a small percentage. I went to a UGA game in Athens in I think it was 04 against UT and my seats I was able to get were in the middle of the visiting section. Most of the Tenn. fans around me were very nice and joking with me and we all had a good time. Unfortunately we lost the game we were favored pretty heavily. Leaving the stadium making our way back to the truck I ran into a car load of young UT fans trying to start shit yelling that we sucked. I just blew them off as I know you will always have a few bad apples in the bunch. (plus the fact It was just me and girl to about 5-6 guys in the car) Point being that the few bad apples always seem to give the rest a bad name.

I think how fans act depends on a lot of things...how good...or bad...their team is that year, how late in the day you meet them =, and which venue youre at

I know this has been discussed before, but I've had bad experiences with several teams fans...particularly FSU and Bama

FSU beat the holy snot out of Clemson in Tallatrashee...i honestly thought I wasnt going to get out of the stadium and back to where I was staying without getting into at least 1 fight...

Bama fans, I met them in Atl...neutral site...Bama...well they also beat the holy snot out of Clemson...and yet they continued to rain beer and pee and anything else down onto Clemson fans...yelling obscenities etc etc

I have a terrible experience with USC fans every year, but I chalk that up to the rivalry and the fact that they suck at life

I've also seen the good and bad side of Auburn fans...Last year they were fantastic...very cordial and welcoming for Clemson coming to town, even after we took them to OT and blew it in the end...very little trash talking etc etc...very polite fans

A couple of years prior, I got to see UGA v. Auburn in Athens...that was a completely different Auburn fanbase...

To say one is worse than another is tough to do I think...because many fan bases have their assholes...what I do know is I cannot stand those types of fans

Must be something about the GA dome, used to go to monster truck and supercross at the dome and the last few times it has gotten worse for the same type of crap you described. I guess it's the "redneck" crowd.

And I don't mean to start a crapstorm, but Auburn has been the worst imo even though I haven't made it to an Auburn game. Just from the fans I've seen at sports bars, acquaintances and out in public in general. Maybe it's just dumb luck that they are the ones I've known or ran into but other teams haven't been as bad from my experience. Now on message boards Aub is still up there but I'd have to give it to UF fans on there. But that may be due to the fact that it seems there are more UF fans around the Atlanta area than other SEC schools therefore find them on local blogs more so. Also think that some of them are posers from GT.

Looks like J. Jefferson back on the team. Charges dropped to a lesser crime. LM says J Lee is the starter, JJ will see playing time.
