Most Miles till Spark Plug change?

I just went to 35,000 and replaced with Denso Iridiums, however my oem plugs looked fine...probably could have gone to at least 50,000. But since they call for replacing at 30,000 I did the change.

 

I changed mine at 80k. The oem plugs had a little wear, but not bad. I put in NGK irridiums.

 

I also changed mine at 30K

 

Im at 94k with stock everything, truck still runs perfect. I plan on changing plugs wires and other things at 100k. I get around 20-22 mpg.

 

138,000 miles on a 2000 tacoma. Toyota said that their was little wear on those original plugs.

 

Just did my mothers Corolla. 176,xxx miles. Original plugs. There was no center electrode left but that little 1.6 never skipped a beat.

 

I have 163,632 on original spark plugs 2001 Tacoma Prerunner V-6! Toyota shop said they were fine at 130,000 but I am now getting a very small miss at idle sometimes. I don't know if it is the 10E gas or the plugs. Can't do anything about the 10E gas since most all gas stations are mandated to change over soon but I can change my plugs. Right now I am trying to decide if I am going to do it myself...this post gives me the encouragement to do so...or let a shop do it. I'm leaning at doing it myself and saving a boat load of money and I know it will be done right! It is getting harder to find a shop that will treat your vehicle like it should be treated!

 

I changed mine at 30k miles. I started to notice the truck not having as much power as I was getting closer to 30k miles... It seemed like after replacing the spark plugs I had more power.

 

I done mine, I used Chris 4x4 DIY....it was well outlined. PS....tape the socket to the extension like it says in the article.

 

Got a friend who has 250k on his stock plugs.

 

There are no wires to change on second gens.

 

Had mine changed at around 40k because of a lite miss occasionally. Now at around 169k on the second set of NGK plugs. Still driving like a champ. This is a 05 DC Prerunner.

 

I changed mine yesterday right at 50k.. They looked pretty dirty. I don't plan on going that long again...

 

i changed mine out at 75k with NGK iridiums. the original plugs looked good.

 

just changed mine on my 05 tacoma sport with the 4.0 at 160000 miles.. and yes, they were the stock factory plugs still.. Used Chris's thread to help..

 

At least my Tacoma (08/2.7/4x2/RC), under severe service, spark plug replacement is not recommended until 144 months or 120,000 miles.

 

I did mine ay 32k miles but stock ones looked good

 

Note: He has an 04.......

I changed the plugs on my wifes 4Runner at 60k, I figured previous owner did them at 30k, but nope, ran good though.

I also changed them on my Taco at 90k and some moron put in Autolite Platinums, yuck!!! I switched back to the regular old NGK's, it seems to run much better now.

 

why the heck would you go that long on original plugs?! plugs are what..$3/each, so your looking at $20 and some quality time w/ the truck! dont see any reason why you would want to go that long...enlighten me...

 

I think the 2004's have ignition coils also.

Confusing info on the internets. I was wrong they do have wires.
