I don't think I'm going to make it either. Thanks for the ride-along offer Zech.

Always good to have some more BS around here...

Understandable. There is always next time. I also will be bringing a buddy on Sunday so one of the seats will be taken.

    Talk about an understatement.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow. Do some work around the house, and mor importantly! Work on the truck. Gonna get a new battery, some fuel, and install the hand throttle. Or try.

I've been looking at and reading up on hand throttle setups. I figure once I have a couple other things done I'll play with one.

Yeah, my boss is always talking about how we should cut out of work early when we get the chance. Then I just kinda laugh and say ok. When you go home at 6p every day; then 5p is early, lol.

Getting tiered of using my phone for my interwebs trolling. Thinking of getting an I pad or a laptop. Any thoughts? Have about 1,000 bucks to burn on it.

I like my iPad. Easy to use, small, good battery life. I hardly ever use my laptop anymore.

You could get both with a $1000 bucks! An ipad and a cheap laptop! I have always bought cheap laptops, about $300 and they serve me just fine for 3-4 years

I'm leaning towards the Apple line up. Really want the IPad but I'm kinda miss having a key board.

thats why I like laptops, Im just more used to them with a real keyboard and mouse. But, and iPad would be cool. I already have an iPhone so it wouldnt be too hard to adjust to an iPad

Yeah I like my EVO but um going cross eyed. Supposedly the new iPhone will be offered by sprint so I might make the switch so all my devices will he Apple.

Yeah, don't get HP or Apple. One is a piece of junk and the other is expensive to get fixed/repaired when it breaks.

^^This^^ I work on laptops all the time at the shop. Right now the better laptops are Lenovos and Toshibas. With $1k you could get a nice laptop that will surf and play DVDs if you wanted to watch a movie. Be careful going for something real small; I have a netbook I use if I am configuring a switch or router; but mainly it rides around in the truck. It is ok for limited use, but I would never use it as a main laptop. Considering your laptop is going to live in your truck with you; I would pay extra for a solid state drive (SSID or SSD) so as to remove a likely failure point and increase battery life.

Right now I am watching and thinking about one of these. It is a 10" tablet when I want a portable tablet and a 10" laptop when I want a laptop. The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is pretty sweet.

What is there to learn??? an iPad is just a big iPhone that doesn't make phone calls.

Thanks for adding another option for me to buy! That Lenovo tablet is sweet. I feel more comfortable buying an Lenovo over a Apple.
