Yep, he's about 60lbs now of just shear muscle. I'll try and add another current photo in a sec.

 

Nope, not a hair over 60lbs. He was kinda the runt when I got him.

 

Haha....good luck then when he's big and gets excited and starts knocking lamps off of tables.

My pup goes to the Vet today to get a growth on his lower eye lid checked out . I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

 

Aw! That sucks Foxy, but here's hoping that its just a benign growth! Prayers for your pup!

 

Thanks, he is almost 10 years old now. He's had the growth on his eye for a few years now, vet back then said a cyst that would be fine unless it started to get bigger or he messed with it, well it stayed the same for years, but few months ago it started growing and now he messes with it and it bleeds. He has some other growths in his neck and arthritis in his hips, but he gets around and is good natured, so I don't want them to do anything to him. I just want to see if they can remove the growth since it bothers him, I'm worried about him being put under for any surgery at his age. Will just have to see what they say.

 

Hope your pup is ok. It sucks getting old As long as he's in good health otherwise, the surgery shouldn't be too hard on him.

I took him in to get it checked, they were able to do surgery at that time, it only took about an hour. They removed a growth from the lower eyelid and another from the top of his ear. Vet says pretty certain it is cancer, but no reason to get it checked at his age and it won't grow back. They also checked a lump in his neck, says it is a blood filled cyst or something, but can not operate on it which is fine cause he is in good health otherwise. He has bad arthritis in the knees and bad hips, vet says could x-ray to see how bad, but can't do anything for it so no need. He is on Rimadol (sp) and Vet says that should help a lot. He is doing fine now, just resting from the sedation. He is a fighter, could hardly walk, but wags his tail when I talk to him and tries to follow me everywhere.

Thanks ...I'll be giving him lots of pats and rubs when I get home today. He should be "awake" from the sedation by then, he is at home sleeping with my bf now. I got a message that he was messing with the eye a little, I think he started to feel it as he woke up more, so I told the bf to put a warm moist towel on it till he fell asleep. Guess it worked cause I haven't heard back .
