At least toyota is starting to listen to some more of its market. The x runner was one side of the spectrum. Guys were still upgrading those from the factory. Now they are TRYING to market more to the off road guys. They have good sales on the O/Rs. I see this as another step to market to people who dont want to take a new stock truck and put more money into it. I doubt (hope) many guys dont buy this and dump more money into it. The current off road or even stock 4x4 can do plenty with a couple more grand. I bet the price tag is going to be a killer though.

I dont like it. Tires are too small, long bed not soo good for baja. Needs more lift. The raptor would shit on that TACO. Needs more power.

I hate the raptor but atleast build something better than the raptor

Its not made to compete with the Raptor...

So your saying the short bed will be better on an access cab??? I guess the Raptor fails with its 6.5' ft bed then

I just want to make this clear...Ive seen quite a few people on here saying the Raptor is better...weLL no shit...Toyota didnt deem Tacoma Baja as the "Raptor killer" ITS A TRIM LEVEL... if Toyota wanted to compete against the Raptor they would use the Tundra platform with the V-8...

Then why make something thats Baja and not compete with the raptor???

Sales are going to suck. If someone wants a Baja ready truck. there going to pick the raptor. Why not make something better than whats out there?

for what yota is going. Your better off getting a used Taco and building it up for baja better at a cheaper price than the baja taco will go for new???

Take a trd supercharger, LT suspension, 33's are you got a Raptor eater!!!

Step in the right direction but it's going to get smoked by the Raptor.

I'd love to see Toyota partner with Total Chaos and sell a real desert ready truck.

I think it would've been cool if they put the Access Cab on a Reg Cab frame with a short bed from the DC trucks . . . Cut down on weight a little? :notsure: and bros won't be needing a truck bed anyway . . .

Exactly. lol My TX is all about looks. 7" touch screen head unit. graphite colored wood grain style laminate. running boards and TRD simulated beadlocks. Same Billies and Rugged Fails as the TRD, Sport, and SR5. But honestly, with a 4.0 and Billies, what else do you need for the everyday? The only other trucks with factory Billies is Chevrolet.
