Because of a fairly new law stating handsfree devices are to be used when talking on the phone while driving was implemented I bought a bluetooth headset. I know once upon a time they were considered douchey. Now that they seam more mainstream would you guys still consider them a douche device?

no, I'm actually thinking about getting one, cuz I'm away at college so when i do actually talk on my phone and not text, its with my family so its usually a pretty long conversation...like 45 minutes +...so my hand gets tired of holding a phone, I'm looking into getting an affordable but quality bluetooth headset...any suggestions?

They are only douchey if one walks around wearing them when not on the phone. Come to think of it, they are douchey when being used anytime when in public and not behind the wheel.

I voted no but that's because I drive a 5 spd and it is handy as hell when driving. Wearing one all the time everywhere might be another story but it kinda falls into the who really cares thing for me. There's much worse douchenanigans afoot out there.......

    I agree driving=not a douche

when I walk around town I use the headphones/wired headset that came with my phone because most of the time I am listening to music. I got sick and tired of having an extra cable in the truck

they are still douchey because you should have just spent an extra 100 to change out the radio with one that has bluetooth built in. then you only use it in your truck and are not a douche.

I cant tell you how many times I've been in a store or where ever and all of a sudden the person next to me starts talking so I'm like excuse me? Then they just look at me like wtf? So no I don't like them aside from for driving. And that is slowly making it's way out with new vehicle's having bluetooth built in like my Taco does.

Oh, you guys just put that law into effect too? Ours is distracted driving in general. Eating, doing hair, makeup, cellphone, anything can net you a ticket if the cop thinks you're being a douche while driving.
