I've heard I may want need new upper control arms with this kit...True or False?

 

This sure looks like a nice setup. They recommend anything 2.5 inches or higher, should get some aftermarket UCA's to get the alignment back in factory specs.

Its highly recommended. I have some TC UCA's and they were pricey but my alignment and tire wear has been perfect for years so I think its worth it. You can go without them but I wouldnt wait extremely long.

Everyone I've talked to and from what I've seen on here has made me go with that kit unless I find something better locally. I get paid on the 15th so I'm shopping around until then. Any personnal recomendations on tires for "i need to go down this fire loop road to a fishing spot" use?

 

When I bought tires I had narrowed it down to General Grabber AT2 or wallyworlds Goodyear Wrangler Authortys. I went with the Goodyear because they ended up being cheaper and I think they look a little more aggressive and they came in a C load range. I'm not scared of Walmart, they still say Goodyear on the side. I spent 3 years with the stock tires on and never got stuck or popped one so I'm not worried, but to each his own. I definitely don't wheel like a lot of other guys on here. 90% of the time when I switch into 4wd there is fishing gear in the back. The other 10% it's snow.

It all starts with your budget though. I was on a tight one. Decide how much you have to spend, research the highest quality tires in that price class, and then pick which one you think looks the best.
