From what i can see in the image, it appears to be leaking from the the banjo bolt, am I correct? If so, did you torque it to the correct settings? Also, may not neccessarily be the issue as I have reused mine, but did you reuse your old crush washers or get new ones?

Yeah it looked like it was coming from the banjo bolt thingy. I just took a wrench and tightened it. It was pretty loose, I could turn it with the wrench without any effort. Original crush washers are still on there. (They looked more like C-clips to me:confused:)

    Whats the proper torque?

    Thanks

Those are crush washers and can be reused but it is probably is a good idea to get new ones. They are pretty inexpensive at a dealer. You'll need two of them. The correct torque setting for my 2000 Tacoma is 22 ft-lbs.

Guy wont answer my emails out calls, also found out today that my dad doesn't want to drive that far even though it's only an hour and a half away. He also would rather but something less than 10 years old which means he's going to spend over $8000 easy. He goes back and forth and it and it's pissing me off. I'm going to keep trying to get a hold of the guy anyways.

Tie rod broke, causing upper and lower ball joints to fail and ripped out my cv and also bent the frame and all the steering components. Basically totaled it.

Yeah, I'm trying. But There aren't very many for sale around here, and if they are they're overpriced. I found one that's exactly like mine, but my dad doesn't want me to get the same thing. He says I'll just end up back where I started.

    not necessarily
you bought a wrecked truck with unknown problems and fixed it up, so its kinda expected that you'd run in to problems kinda like what you experienced;)

Yea alot of them are pretty over priced where I was too. I had to drive to neveda to get mine and I still payed 4600 for it but I love my truck and it was well worth it. I hope you can get the truck you want man. And sorry to hear about that happening to your truck. Do you still have it?

I had no choice in the matter when we got it. It was a friend of my dad's, and they needed money so we bought it off them. And as we started working on it we found more and more problems. He doesn't understand that just because one is bad, it doesn't mean all of them are like that. But like I said, I'm going to keep calling that guy and if he makes a deal with me, I'll just keep hounding my dad about it until he gives in. Or he'll just get pissed off... Worth a try though!

Yeah I still have it, it's sitting in the yard like this...
