I harvested my first branched antlered bull this morning, I have been hunting non stop for the last 6 days and was finally able to put the smack down on my first bull. He was with 7 cows and was bringing up the rear, the lead cow didnt want to come up to my end of the canyon so I ranged him at 150 yards. I knew that was the max range with my 50 cal muzzleloader, I focused and took the shot. When the smoke cleared I had my first branched antlered bull on the ground! And then the work began:D I cannot expalin how happy I was and still am, I have been scouting for the last 2 months and had some close calls and alot of discouragement.

He may not be the biggest bull in the world, but at 18 years old I did it all myself and put hundreds of hours and dollars into getting him on public ground.

    neglect, mostly.
very cool! honestly, not that ive seen many on here, but it's nice to see a "hunter". not someone that just throws out some corn and shoots a deer after work twice a month. you earned that bad boy, you should be proud and happy. thanks for sharing.

Congratulations brother!!! That is a phenominal trophy because of the adventure and hard work leading up to the harvest!!! Not to mention GREAT headgear to boot!

Reminds me of my first turkey that took 3 years and hours of hard work to finally close the deal at 23 years old, all by myself, on public ground. Very tough indeed. A tremendous feeling, and again, congratulations!

For the last 6 days my routine has been, wake up at 3am and go hunting. Then haul ass to school to keep my grades up, then hustle to work until 5: 30, and then book it up to the hills again.

Needless to say it feels great to be able to sleep in this morning:D

Thanks for all the nice comments guys
