Spacers vs Wheel offset

    I understand spacers can be used to aid in decreased tire rub by setting the tire further away fron the chassis. Can the same be achieved by getting a different rim offset?

    What is the maiximum that can be done without effecting the ride/handling?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Most common wheel offset seems to be 4.5" on the second gens. Too much, and you get increased bump steer, and increased wear on the wheel bearings.

    So then adding a spacer is probably not recommended either?

    anytime u do anything other than stock it causes premature wear on many things.some guys r running spacers and many r running new wheels.i think im going with the spacers due to the funds for new wheels.spydertrax is the ONLY spacer to go with if u do that.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    4.5 seems to be just about perfect. If you want to run the stock wheels and bigger tires, you'll need the spacers... :thumbsup:
