Throw a die on it, not a big deal. I dont remember is it welded in? If not replace it.

    And yes it is welded

    No heat, just muscle.

Dir is the opposite of a tap, it'll rethread the bolt. You might beable to salvage it, even if its just good enough you can throw 2 nuts on it, wont go nowhere

The rest of the bolt is inside the mount. Only the head turned which resulted in breaking. My only thought is to either drill it out or somehow thread the rest of the bolt out.

Oh it broke... thought it just stripped. Yeah id cut the remander off then drill out and throw a tap into it. New bolt with Loctite or Copatite. The hard part is to drill it centered and straight, try to get a bit just small enough to not drill the inside threads id use 3 bit sizes for the process, when you get to where you get to the point where the hole is thin on the old bolt at that point you can pick out the old bolt metal saving the thread.

Im pretty shitty at explaining things, let me know if you want me to explain better

Looks like the screw head broke off at the top mount. Use a screw extractor like these ones

Dont use those, they will never remove a bolt like that, likely it"ll break then he'll have temped steel break it apart. Id recommend the square type. Dont mean to shit on your suggestion, i just believe that style it crap

edit, if you do go this route kroil it up over night

    Stock for now
cut a line through the middle of the screw with the dremel and use a flat screw driver to take it out. it should be really easy. don't worry about cutting the mount, you will be fine.

Square type? You mean like these?

    http://www.amazon.com/Alden-4507P-Grabit-Broken-Extractor/dp/B000Q60UOO

    Does seem easier to use.

if you can get a nut on the end that snapped off, thread it on then tack weld it on there because it doesn't look like you have enough threads to get two nut on there. use some penetrating oil on the end that goes to the frame and let it sit over night. try to remove it in the morning.

So i cut the bolt mount off and im now in the process of trying to take the rest of the bolt out or making a new mount and taping it. Then i can weld the mount back on.
