i just checked out a sweet 2012 DC Sport MGM with Entune and one with the non-entune. i liked the sound of the HD radio compared to the one without it. i figure i would like like the upgraded jbl good enough for a few years rather than have to fork over more $$$ to upgrade the stock system right after buying a new truck. the navigation seemed kind of slow and the feature set does not scream for me to buy for that reason but i did dig on the sound quality.

here's my observation on the leafs: both an access and DC Sport had the 4-pack while all the Off Roads i looked at had 3. i think the 4-pack may be standard on the Sport only. hmmm...

like others have said the 12 looks better in person but the 11 and older looks sweet too. after seeing the 12 in person for the first time i am sure i would be happy with either.

the big difference is the black carpet and interior trim. it really classes up the cabin in my opinion. that's the selling point for me.

Did you happen to see an SR5? I think that is what I will eventually buy and would like to know if it comes with the standard 3 leaf or better 4 leaf.

i've seen a mix of the 2012s with the 3 leaf pack and the 4 leaf pack. The access cabs I've seen have the three pack, even on the offroads. The double cabs (short and long bed) has had the four leaf pack. It doesnt look like the trim (SR5 or any TRD package) has anything to do with the leaf pack.

Interesting. So AC has 3 leaf, DC has 4 leaf. Good to know.

I noticed on the Toyota spec site that they no longer give the axle ratio.I wonder if they are changing it for better MPGs and less power?

So does this mean that I am going to have wait a year for a winch bumper for my Taco or would a 2011 bumper fit?

First post! Have been following this thread for 6 months and read ALL 167 pages so no need to worry about me posting something twice.

So I got over to Mountain States Toyota yesterday to get my first look at the 12's. Love the interior like everybody, but I kinda think the fog lamps on the 12's look cheezy compared to the 11's or 4runner.. However, not enough dissatisfaction to make me purchase anything but a 12!

My real issues on trying to figure out which 2012 to purchase were with the seat adjustment's and the stereo.

Entune vs non-entune.. I use my ipod a ton, so I brought with me both the wife's and mine to test. My 6-7 year old ipod would cut out and skip on Entune but would do fine on the non-entune stereo. Her ipod did fine on both (her's is only a year old).

Switching songs on Entune is easy compared with the non-entune system which is sorta complicated, I swear I would off-road in the city trying to find any songs on the non-entune.

Sound quality is a 100x better on the Entune vs non-entune.. Actually the factory non-entune actually sounded worse then a stock 1980's radio.

The biggest gripe I have found is that I want to switch songs from my ipod and not from my head unit while still using the USB port. All aftermarket stuff lets you switch that back and forth but I read through the 2012 manual and there was nothing in there. Does anybody know how to find out if that is possible?

There are two options listed for entune in the 2012 brochure, one with Navigation and Pandora, and one without Navigation and Pandora, which is supposed to be A LOT cheaper. The dealer told me that he can't find the one without Navigation/Pandora options on the computer and thinks its not true. Any thought?

Last the seats listed on the brochure and window stickers say "Power lumbar Driver seat Adjustments". Have yet to find one with them.. I emailed Toyota a while ago to ask what's up with the false advertisement or is it just coming in a few months of production?

Saw a couple of '12's this past week. They look a lot better in person. I really like them.

I like the Star Wars Stormtrooper look of the front clip but bought my 2011 Reg Cab to cover my 4X4 needs which are marginal until the complete redesign comes out with power train changes. In other words I did not feel like puting anymore money into the deal unless there were power train changes and I had been hoping as others had for the FJ engine.

If GM follows through with building the the Colorado stateside as they say they are going to do after the recent completion of the union contract I will take a look at that for 2014 also.

    Dan,

the dealership offered me 21,500 for mine but I'm selling to one of the wholesalers that is offering 22,000 on mine. It's the one under my profile with 84,000 but I pulled the SAW's, extang, redlines, homelink, and wheels and tires for the new one.

    hope that helps,

    jv
