    so you believe there shouldn't be a public school system due to it's cost on the tax payers? the school system is actually one of only like four things i think the government should be subsidizing.

    well I can see how the public school system probably wastes more money than private schools, upping the cost per pupil. But for a parent to send their kid to public school is WAY cheaper than if they sent the same kid to private. Plus its more about the student than anything.

    The government doesn't subsidize public school, it finances it. It would do better subsidizing private schools.
