Anyone have DTLT headers installed and an after market muffler? If so what kind of muffler and how do you like it? Does it have rasp? Post sound clips if possible. Im trying to get some ideas. I have a dynomax on it now with DTLT Headers and dont know if I like it.

stay far away from flowmasters. They don't sound good with headers.

This thread is a few months back but I have the K&N intake with DTLT's and a flowmaster 40 series muffler. It sounded good when I had the DTLT's minus the flowmaster and once I installed the Flowmaster muffler it was a little two loud for me. The guy installing it said it'd get louder as time goes on. Two years later it sounds more raspy and loud than ever. I 've been wanting to change my muffler for awhile but after just hearing my girlfriend take off in my truck up a hill it sounds horrible and has got to be switched up! I'm looking for something that is going to sound quite now. anyone find anything they like?

Well, I will know what the DTLT headers sound like coupled with the Aero Turbine soon enough. My set is just lying here waiting for me to put them on.

That whine is from my S/C not the intake. I have a TRD 1st gen intake too.

What's the verdict? I just put on a Vibrant Ultra Quiet 10" resonator and love how the rasp is almost completely gone now. I'm curious as to how your set up will sound though.

Not on yet... Still sitting here waiting for install. I will be doing a shit ton to my truck over Spring Break (March 13-17 to be exact) and putting on the headers will be one of those items. Here is where my sound is now, hopefully I can avoid the rasp, but we shall see.

Any videos of a hard accelleration from inside and outsode with that setup with the resonator? I had a trd exhaust but had to take it off cause of the rasp since i tend to drive pretty aggressively. Would love to hear a resonated system with and without headers...

I don't have any videos now but when the weather clears up I can sure make some currently and after headers.
