If your selling it Ill take it. I currently have a flowmaster not sure of the model since it does not have a model number on it anywhere, but also have a header.

This is what it sounds like my question is do you think it would sound similar to this?? Louder?? Quieter?? Just want to try something a little different.

No, I got one. I will try to get it up soon. we compared the kamikaze to no muffler, just straight pipe when we were taking it off. Sounded identical to me, that is how loud it sounded.

I had 4 techs there and they were all listening and couldn't tell either. It was insanely loud.

wow..that must of been crazy loud. i kinda wish my wicked flow was a little louder. but if it was any louder it would probably be ricey and not deep and throaty.

i am kind of glad for the quietness about 65 mph when im taking a long trip on the highway. oh well...i am still pleased

Hmm, I guess its good to hear what they sound like, and to hear from a user what they sound like. Sorry to hear it is so loud. I did expect them to be loud, but I have never heard what they sounded like in person.

In any case, thanks for the feedback. Still would be nice to have a sound clip, but if you didn't get a chance to get one, thats ok. I will also pass this along to the manufacturer. Perhaps they just need to make some design changes or something.

got the kamikaze on yesterday and love it! If the wicked flow max was a 5 on the loudness scale i'd put the kamikaze at an 8. It has no rasp and is just more rumbly than the regular wicked flow. Not sure how will thought it sounded like straight pipes??? Even the guy at the muffler shop said the design has to add power since its so light with no restrictions, and that its not as loud as you think it would be...also the wicked flow had a significant amount of drone in cab at 1500 and 2500 RPM, don't know how ppl dont notice it, Kamikaze as no drone, just louder

thats not gonna happen, started classes today and i will have no time for quite a while haha. It is the same deepness as the wicked flow just with more rumble and pop if that makes sense, so much more character and better sound. No rasp either. Get one if you want to go louder haha

I really don't think that is a fair assessment but obviously you have your own opinion. It is comparable to straight pipes because I compared it to straight pipes with 4 other guys at the shop.

But to each his own. And if you look at the design of the Kamikaze it's pretty similar to a straight through application. Maybe I can't hear well but no muffler and the kamikaze sounded virtually the same too me.

there is a vid of a flowmaster 10 series on a 3.4, sounds similar to the kamikaze, a little more raspy

Just a note, I recently converted my van to dual tailpipes, and the effect that had on the volume was significant. My setup is the 2 1/4" offset center, due to space limitations on my vehicle it was not practical to use a dual outlet muffler. Anyway, the deepness and loudness of the same muffler went up dramatically by running the dual tailpipes.
