    I think I fixed my upstairs PC today by replacing the fan and power supply. It has been on line with no issues for close to 2 hours now. It was failing after 10 to 15 minutes.

    Parts cost $75 delivered. It was an easy fix. The only reason for the higher cost was due to the 400W power supply. I had upgraded to a 400W supply about 3 years ago and that supply was heading south. The fan was old and on it's last spin cycle.

    Nice quiet PC again.
