Seafoamed, cleaned the MAF, and did an oil change using OEM filter and Mobil 1. It was my first oil change on this truck and holy hell its a PITA!! Any tricks/pointers? I had to take the skid plate off then crank on the filter w/ one of those special tools. The PO must have really tightened that thing too much.

plasti-dipped then painted my front emblem too

Nice work! Did you mean to say that you had to use a special tool to crank "off" the filter? Usually you are supposed to hand tighten oil filters (some filters give specific instructions, like Mobil1 that I use which tell you to tighten until a certain mark on the filter is pointing up and then turn it another quarter turn...)

Even though you can change the oil with the skid plate on, it is better to take it off or you will end up with a pool of oil trapped on the skid plate when you take the filter off. I have done it many times leaving the skid plate on but it makes a rather nasty mess so to do it correctly it is sort of a pain to remove seven bolts and a two piece skid plate...

Yeah they look real good in person.

I bought them off of eBay seller: glee2263 they were $6.79 for 2. You'll need 4 in total.

    Good luck

Does anyone have floor liners in the back of the double cab? What brand would you recommend? I don't think weather tech makes liners for the back.

Rain is about to come and need some protection.

yea crank "off"; Some asshat at the dealer I bought the truck from must have tightened the shit out the filter, it was really hard to get off. I had to use a filter wrench. I always tighten the filter by hand.

The rear skid was completely caked w/ old oil and sand, so I power washed it and put it back. Guess I'm gonna get real good at removing and replacing it..
