Whats biggest size tire can put on stock '10 2.7L

Hey guys,

Wondering whats the largest size tires I can put on my '10 2.7L 4x2 Reg Cab. If you can pictures of a specific tire you think would look good, even better. Looking for a set of tire/rims ~$1000 or cheaper.

 

265/75/16 I believe

Uh, I think he's talking a 5 lugger here, at standard ride height, no 4x4/prerunner suspension. So it's smaller than that. Check stickies in the 5 lug forum for the answer.

 

I'd look through the 5 lug forum too. I have, but you should make your own choice with your truck / money.

The consensus seems to be 235/75/15 for stock base suspension. It fills the wheel wells nicely, doesn't rub, doesn't throw off your gearing too much, and should put your speedometer to where it's correct.

If you want to change your wheels to 16" or 17", use the tire size calculator (I think it's a sticky in Wheels & Tires) to get something with the same overall size.

On my 4x4 regular cab, if I wanted to keep my mudflaps, and wasn't raising the suspension, I'd probably go with 265/70R16. That's going to be a good look on a non-lifted regular cab, which comes stock with those 245/75R16 dunlop donuts, especially if you go with a more agressive all terrain tire such as BFG AT or some other "real" all terrain (not "rugged fails.")

If you want the "stuffed" look and don't mind trimming/removing mudflaps, the consensus is 265/75R16. Some folks jump up and down and insist that size doesn't rub their mudflaps. So it's hit or miss.

i have 18's on a reg cab, pic in my profile ! 265/60/r18 no lift no rub.

 

235/75/15 for 2005+ 2.7L base models. If you do the black box mod I hear you can go even bigger without rubbing.

 

Agree they fit but the wheelwell looks crowded. anyone have 255/75R16s? 1 size bigger than stock?
