Newly opened IHOP a few months back. Linkage it's a pretty common occurrence in the "All American City"...

Um open carry is LEGAL in california, without a permit!!

There is plenty of evidence. Every time a state passes a ccw law allowing carry violent crime drops. The town that has a Mandatory gun ownership law has one of the lowest crime rates in the country. And finally when britain banned guns the violent crime rate skyrocketed to astounding numbers because... you guessed it, criminals didn't turn over their guns... who would have thought?

That town has been 25 years murder free btw. Here is some good reading http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=41196

Not for much longer. And I suppose you can call it open carry but a openly displayed unloaded gun is a crap shoot.

CCW permits won't deter crime if the assailant thinks nobody actually carries. No one in the IHOP returned fire after all.

yea PA is very liberal with their gun laws....but you gotta have the LTCF if you carry in a car openly or on SEPTA etc and you need a license to OC in Philly only because its a city of the first class(over 1 million people)

i dont believe signs hold any weight in PA you have to be asked to leave

here is a great flyer you can print out and carry with you http://paopencarry.org/pdfs/Pennsylvania_Gun_Rights.pdf

You didn't actually read the articles/studies, did you?

Yes, violent crime drops initially, but eventually regresses to statistical norms after the "shock period" and press coverage has worn off.

And Kennesaw, GA had a multiple-homicide on Jan., 13, 2010. In 2004, according to the FBI homicide statistics it had one murder. It hasn't been murder-free for 25 years. Close, but not accurate.

Finally, you know what else happened in Kennesaw? Over that 25-year span, the average income level skyrocketed to over $65,000/year. You know what the biggest contributor to violent crime is? Poverty. So, you have an isolated town of minimal population (28,000 according to the article) full of people who are living pretty well -- no wonder it's crime-free.

Methinks there's a little too much importance placed on the effects of the law, and a too little placed on the demographics of the city.

You enact that law in a city of comparable size with a median income of $20,000, and that violent-crime rate out of control.

the murder in 2004 iirc was a domestic violence murder husband murdered his wife with a sword....the 2010 murder was in a penske dealership...kenessaw doesnt have a mandatory carry law but has an ownership law... its a suburb of atlanta and crime was rising significantly until the law was passed...people picked other places to commit their crimes. id be interested in knowing how that 65k relates to inflation over a 25 year period too...

but carrying directly stops crime in kennessaw too..

Your opinions are based on what? Not fact, thats for sure.

When good people have guns, overall society is much more polite and less crime occurs.

You can have your views but they are skewed by conjecture and left wing talking points.

The American cities with the highest CCW permit numbers have much less crime per capita than the cities with strict gun control.

I refuse to be a victim - Period
You simply refuse to take responsibility for yourself and expect others to preserve your life.

and regarding the OP - you are doing gun owners no favors. If you spent any time receiving proper training you would have learned not to open carry. You become an instant target, moreover you are completely and utterly out of shape, you clearly could not defend that weapon when confronted by a formidable opponent, you would do well to check your reasoning and rational.

Your opinions are based on what? Not fact, thats for sure. i assume you dont live in South GA....because its hot as heck and OC is way more comfy in the middle of the summer...i dont see how exercising the right to bear arms openly(its the right concealed carry is not) is not doing or doing anyone any favors...thats like saying speaking your mind isnt doing free speech any favors or attending church isnt helping that right either

and im in shape im round...im 6ft 350 and bench a lot how much can you do?

There were two people killed in a shooting at Denny's about 10 miles down the freeway where I live. Random guy walked in and opened fire. One of the deceased was a 72 year old Korean war veteran. He jumped the gunman and wrestled him down to the floor. I believe his actions saved many lives. If he had had the legal right to carry a gun, he just might have been able to save those people without sacrificing himself. He had the courage to act, he did not have the tools he needed. Another classic example of bullshit CA laws.
