offroading on bald mountain

    How far from fresno is the trail? i went last summer on it but i just moved to fresno and was wondering if its possible to just do a day trip

    shouldn't taken you no more than 1 hour to get to the trail.

    if you passed shaver lake on 168, you went pass the turn to the trail.

    fyi looking at google there are 6 baldy or bald mountains in CA

    2 up by redding "baldy mountain" and "Baldy ridge" with another "little baldy" near shasta

    Mt Baldy in angelas nat forest (IE/socal)

    Bald Mountain in sequoia

    Another Bald mtn in auberry outside of shaver lake

    There's actually two entrances to get into Bald Mt. You can access it from Tamarack (Hwy. 168) where the trail starts from easy to moderate or from Dinkey creek rd. moderate to difficult. You should check out Brewer Lakes! Awesome as well...

    I'd say atleast an 1hr30min. max to get to both trail head entrances (Tamarack and Dinkey). You can complete the trail within a day trip.

    i havent access from tamarack yet. hopefully next year. we tried going to brewer lake but was stuck at the snow area. so we turn back to go to bald mtn. if you go back and look at the pictures where the grey pickup truck was stuck, we were heading to brewer lake.
