ahh, it does look more clean, don't like the pipe poking out like that either. bugs me from time to time. thanks need more time on it though, still need to finish the suspension

 

I did the same thing with mine, I just cut off the tip right after the axle so you can't see it hanging out. Nice truck 07tacoridah

 

someday I know I'm going to hack it off lol. Thanks, not sure if you remember me asking about the bolts you used for your big 3 upgrade, I found out (lucky) that there were bolts from my old Blazer that fit perfectly in place! pretty much ran the wiring like yours though

I used 4g instead but will be upgrading to 0g someday, just not sure when.

I have one going to the fuse holder for my amp, and the one connected on the side is to the alt. After looking at these pictures more, I realize I really need to get the posts cleaned off
It's cool though, when I upgrade, all I have to do is take off the 4g and have the local audio shop cut up some 0g to the same lengths.

I used diodes, not resistors. I'm sure that's what you meant to say though ahha.

Why not just cut the 0 gauge yourself? You can buy a tool that is used for bigger wire to cut and strip it. That will probably be cheaper unless you have a hook up there or something.

 

lol, that's what I meant to say. Not sure how much I need as a whole, I have seen some that are 15' on CL ... seems like it's long enough for how I have it hooked up. Nah no hook up, I wish though!!

 

I thought you did haha. Just buy this tool and measure how much cable you will need. Then buy that much 1/0 gauge with the ring terminals and do it yourself.

 

sweet!!! I'm going to do that. I think I have seen that tool in HF down the street, which is a plus. I'm going to be bringing in the 4g that I had and then have them measure from there. After that while I am at it, get the terminals. Stupid question, how did you crimp the terminal connectors you have one? I don't get how those ones work.

easy use a vise grip or put on ground and hammer it flat.

 

... so I have been doing it right lol. my cousin used to tell me to put them in vises or some thing to smash them in place. I like the over all look from that some what v. the one I get when I smash it with a hammer look though.

 

^ that's one way to do it. Harbor freight has some hydraulic crimpers that work really well. But I don't crimp them at all. I just solder it up and I think that makes a better connection electrically speaking.

Yep, that's pretty much it. That's how I've always done it, minus the flux. It might make it a little bit cleaner but I don't really see much need for it. I say do it this was instead of even trying to crimp anything. The end results will be worth it.
