Yeah commication was a little hard he went to the shop and asked what bumpers they could get told me he bought one and was taking the money out my account, If he would have bought it himself it wouldnt go anywhere. Im waiting on me to 100% make up my mind still thinking about where I want my truck to be.

for the 2nd gen the only bumpers you should consider for a full protection style piece are relentless fab and or arb. i like the arb because it's engineered to work it's tested by a very respected off road company known for making hard use 4x4 gear. welds are x-rayed
and tested multiple times arb also spends literally years in r&d before releasing a product. they also are recommended by insurance company's which is pretty cool.
relentless on the other hand is designed to apparently smash through anything lol i have seen a few of erics bumpers in person and they are a very tough capable well thought out design period.

other bumpers made are just now catching onto the fact that you need a frame brace for winching loads. since their inception both arb and relentless had this feature because they where designed correctly the first time.

seeing as you already have an arb why not just keep it? if your going relentless then at least your going lateral with your choice and not stepping down. either one is a great choice.

    Pardon?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_m8fai4yeA

Don't get me wrong - ARB and Relentless are both extremely awesome. But they ain't the only two games in town.

Edit: Also, this video is slightly inaccurate. Was looking over the bumper again today installing my 3rd PIAA and noticed the gussets below the winch cradle are 1/4", not 3/16ths as I had previously believed.

    My bad.

oh hell yeah i know that there are many other very nice bumpers on the market. i just happen to believe that the relentless and arb are the best.

i wanted full protection and the arb's hoop is welded in like 8 places behind the bumper and its a full one piece tube it's crazy tough.

oswego helped me instal the thing and he has the relentless fab plate steel bumper and it's tough as shit that guy fuck's some shit up lol and his piece is as solid as the first day he put it on he said.

also i was in talks with eric when shopping for bumpers and he can make the plate bumper out of full 1/4 inch steel! that thing would be like a tank! i happen to think eric has the best looking bumper hands down it's all a matter of opinion.

either way this is based on my opinion and research and i mean in no way to take away from other fab shops making bumpers
