It was like a twisted corner on soft soft sand. It was odd.

:notsure: everyone gets stuck, and if you don't you aint wheeling hard enough.

I see, sugar sand can be tricky (not thats that what it is cant tell by the pic), but pics never do it justice.

How can you know your trucks limits if you don't test them? And if your new, you have to learn some how... just saying. I know when Its time to turn around or when to park and ride.

I agree and dissagree with you there Ben. I agree that with proper driving, finesse, technique and a good spotter you can avoid getting stuck.

However, there are always situations that are out of your control. For example, a water crossing could be deeper in certain times of the year and snow drifts could present when normally they are not.

I also agree with the fact that, you dont actually know the limits of your truck and driving abilites until you DO get stuck. I mean, how are you suppose to judge what you can and can not go through without having the past experience of getting stuck.

And of course this is also based on the vehilce you have, experience, clearence, and recovery gear.

You dont mud ride like that in a tacoma, there ain't enough power.. you have to pick your way through somethin you.cant see. It's no different than trails. Just alot more chance of sinking your engine lol

if that was directed towards me, my taco only sees mud about once a year, hell even less..

That day I was just effing off in the trails with some buddies and we came little mud hole. I drove in a rut that literally opened up and swallowed my L. front tire. I dont like mudding because it takes too much to clean up after, and its boring. Mud tears your shit up to much too.

    Trails>mud

As I was annoyed with the "common sence and the know your limits", I did word it stupid. I admit that. I was on a trail the first time I got stuck, came to a mud section got out and tried to measure everything as good as I could witha stick (3ft) touched the bottom the whole way... exept 1 portion were someone with big tires sat there and dug it out and my tire fell into it lol. I agree with the common sence but knowing a trucks limits is kinda hard when you have never owned a 4wd before and are new to the spot.
