ok so i was driving in the right lane until this truck decides to change lanes all of a sudden and im all in his ass so i change lanes really fast and i guess cut off this lady....so we pull up to the red light and shes there writing my license plate number! then i see her on the phone and looking at me so im guessing she called to report it shes looking at the front one so i beging to roll nearly hitting the car in front of me just so i can hide my license plate haha but i was wondering what can happen if she reported me?

What happens when you drive by one of the mobile radars that show you how fast you are going...and your speeding and you keep speeding? Does anything happen? take a picture or anything like that?

i seriously doubt much can come of that...they probably told her theyd have an officer in the area check into it...and by the time he responded...you had left the area...

    no biggie

Not that im aware of...our mobile radar units dont take pictures...and we dont have the manpower to stand beside them and chase folks down...i suppose they might in some small town though

Is issuing a ticket based on the sign's reading of your speed legit? They have those things on the Bay-Bridge tunnel between the shore and Norfolk -- it seems like the LEOs are watching those signs.

del...im not really sure...however one could be sitting there watching it and radio-ing to another 1/4 mile up the road with a LIDAR gun...and the first cop tells his buddy who to hit

i'd bet theyre using LIDAR if theres a guy standing on the bridge aiming...and then a line of troopers sitting on the ramp waiting to go

I dont think the cops can do anything about a reported license plate like that.

Bout a year ago some kid in my area had just gotten a brand new 350z and was driving around to all the school bus stops trying to look cool doing burn outs and going in excess of 90mph on the road leading to my neighborhood, which is a 35MPH zone. 5 different people reported him and the most the cops could do is talk to his parents.

I wouldn't sweat it. A while back, some of us were riding motorcycles, and in some old lady's opinion, we were being reckless and causing a ruckus. She managed to get one of our license plates (though if we were being "reckless" how the hell was she able to write down the info) and called it in. An officer happened to be in the area and pulled us over. He said he was responding to a complaint, but all but admitted (wink) that he couldn't really do anything.
