Yeah. Requires a new version of iTunes as well.

I would bet Apple has done research and found that most people do not want a bigger screen. I certainly do not. I like my phone to fit comfortably in my pocket. I hate the feel of phones with a bigger screen in my pocket.

I can see that going very wrong at work while doing the "Text a girl if you can tap that" thread.

I heard that also and I think it's totally plausible. One of the best things about Apple is they demand quality and if they don't get it, they aren't just going to rush it to get the product out (iPad 3, for example).

Let us know how you like it man!

I've managed to add some bug guts to the front
Why do you think it needs a larger screen? The phones I've seen with 4-4.5" screens are way too big to fit comfortably in your pocket. Unless you're rocking some Jncos from 1995. You might as well just stuff an iPad down your pants.

So is the Siri app on the iPhone 4 different than the app on the 4GS?

I use Google Voice on my Android for texting when I have a large message or when I'm driving. It's very convenient. My wife could use Siri on her iPhone 4.

Siri will only be available on the iPhone 4S. Current iPhones have a voice control function but it is very limited with specific phrases that must be said to activate certain functions.

I've been waiting for a new design to make myself a simple aluminum case and to find out they keep the same design was a bummer. I should've made one when I bought my Iphone 4 = /

Like most products Apple makes, they are high-end quality and not allowing anyone else to step into another design like Droid does truly speaks for Apple.

A slightly larger screen would've been nice, I wonder if they resolved the antenna issue they previously had.

The Siri App for the iPhone 4 is definitely different - as it is not built into the phone itself, like it is on the 4S.

I haven't used it much, but several people in my office use it all the time and love it.

I don't see why they wouldn't offer it for the 4 at some point, it's 100% software-based and iOS 5 will run on the 4. We shall see.

I'll be getting the 4s. I don't know anything about preordering though. Is that something I do with Apple or Verizon?

Are you guys expecting long lines on the Thursday night before? People camping out and what not? I just want to be able to get the phone with as little hassle as possible

I would do it with Apple - I trust them more than any of the carriers.

If you preorder through Apple.com, the phone will arrive on the 14th and you won't have to wait in any lines at all. Turn the phone on, activate it, and you're done.

I would just get one of the LifeProof cases - they are amazing.

As far as the antenna issue goes - they redesigned the antenna a little bit to fix it. Although, I got a 4 as soon as they came out and I never had an issue with mine.

The 3GS added voice control and video capability. Both software based additions that the 3G did not get even though it got the same iOS update (although you could argue the slightly better camera of the 3GS made it "capable" of video, the 3G could certainly do it as jailbroken apps showed). While the iPhone 4 could possibly run Siri just fine, it will never see it because it gives people a reason to upgrade to the 4S.
