I4 Horse Power Increase

I have a new 2011 toyota tacoma, its an I4 and lacking power. I was wondering what some of the options were for me to get significant hp increases. I was hoping for more than just a new air filter. I know older models have turbochargers and some have superchargers.

it would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me where to get these products for such a new truck, what kind of impact it will have on the engine and about how much it will cost

The best bet is to take it back and get the 4.0. Toyota makes a supercharger for the 4.0, but do not make one for the 4 banger. URD makes one for the 2.7 here.

You have a 4 cylinder double cab... The amount of money you'll spend upgrading the 4 cylinder you're better off trading to a V6, especially since it's a 2011.

Get a couple horses, then do the horse carriage mod.

With a 4-banger, you should push your RPMs higher for more torque.

 

I had a sports car, needed cargo huling for camping and snowboarding trips. Traded for sports truck, happier then a pig in shit. In fact, pigs rolling around in shit are jealous of how happy I am.

Not to be a dick, but I don't understand these threads. Did you not test drive the truck before buying it?

If you did, surely you noticed the lack of power. So if thats the case, wouldnt the prudent thing be to research power mods before buying the truck?

Or just getting a V6?

Yah the V6s actually have decent power in my opinion... I dont need alot of power in my 4x4 truck, Im in no hurry.
