quick lift question...I know...another one

    Ok...so now I am considering getting the OME lift with 885 coils instead of the RCD kit because the more I think about it the more I don't want to cut my cross member. My question is, is do I need the top plate spacer to get the full 3" of lift or do I not need them. I want to clear 285's. I know I will need to trim and thats not a problem. Also, do I need rear axle shims? Basically...what all do I need to buy along with this kit? Thanks guy!

    I didn't add the spacers and got 2 1/2" up front with the 885x coils on my DCLB .

    If you are doing Dakars out back , add centre pin collars to allow you to use axle shims later if you need them .

    I have about 1 1/2" of rake with the Dakars .

    The Daks got me about 2 3/4" over stock height .

    I didn't need it . The OME coils aren't supposed to contact the sway bar , but I have heard of people having it happen .

    bjmoose had his contact and he did the relocate

    Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. I installed my OME kit (884) without spacers and aftermarket UCA's at first. After I saw it and drove for about a month I wanted more lift up front and a better alignment so my steering didn't feel so loose. I added the top plate spacers and LR UCA's and love it. Rides better than stock and no vibes or other issues. I did order extended SS brake lines for the rear though, don't know if they're a must have but I decided to not risk ripping them while driving :)

    I also never had to fool with relocates or axle shims. Hope this helps!
