Just got a quote from the local Firestone Dealer. I can get 4 Firestone Destination AT's LT265/75/16 put on and balanced for $740. Thats not bad. Not crazy about the looks of the tires but for the price I will have to consider them.

I went with hurcules terra trac in C load range 245/75/16. Kept stock size, want good traction in snow. Tread is good, ride is good. Look cool and price was ok.

Not going to risk putting retreads on the Sequoia. I will admit that I am looking at them for my tacoma though!

i had a set of 285/75 r 16 on my ford ranger, that was SC and 6 inches of lift. i got 70,000 miles out of them, and they still didnt hit the wear bars, i put them on at 90,000 and traded the truck in at 161,000. thats when i got the tacoma. i love them tires! i wont put any thing else on my truck. If some one want to buy my stock tires, i would love to sell them......

There was a big recall on the hercules terra trac tires a while back and that scared me enough to not even consider them. Of course the hercules tires are (or were) made by cooper tires.

Treadwright Warden (BFG AT knock-offs) $110 a tire, a few bucks under $500 to my door last order...great tires IMHO and would recommend them to anyone who asked. Their customer service is second to none.

    https://www.treadwright.com/p-60-265-75r16-warden-a-t-d.aspx

And yes, I run these on my truck. Built on BFG AT KO casings...kedge grip. Balance better than the 'real' thing and ride smooth as silk.

Please do your research before bashing my tire choice <----directed to no one in particular

I had the Cooper ATR, which was the predecessor to this one. I like it a lot! I was out of alignment and the fronts wore out, replaced them with the sister brand.

I'd go with the BFG ATs. If she burned through her last set, the Goodyears will be gone even sooner. They're really quite soft.

    BFG ATs wear like iron.

I just wanted to give my 0.02 on the Wrangler Authority's as I am now on my 2nd set. Say what you want about the tire b\c they are sold at Wallyworld, but I have been impressed by them. I got just over 55K on my first set and just recently put on another set. Yeah, they are noisy driving at highway speeds, but I like it. I've never had any problems with them wearing down fast, just keep them rotated properly and they'll be fine. Yes there are people out there who have had problems with them, but that goes with ANY tire mfgr out there. Their off road traction is really good IMO, and they drive great in the snow and ice. Even though they are sold as and AT tire they are more of a MT tire. Anyways I guess what I'm trying to say is don't count them out just b\c walmart sells them.

Interesting stuff that treadwright has on their site about how they make the tires. Looks like quality stuff (as long as you can get the sidewall to match the tread-nothing like a Nitto or Goodyear sidewall and BFG tread-it can happen based on the info on their site. They use whatever casings they have available unless you specifically request a certain casing).

Yeah I have the BFG' AT KO's on my tacoma. They were on there when I bought it. I think they have over 70,000 miles on them and still have tread left.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I think they look good. Need an all around tire or just bling that sucks ass in the winter ? I would have bought Michelin LTX AT2s but they are back ordered til 2015 I think.

I just got them so I'm anxious for the snow to pile up. I read reviews upon reviews about so many tires and these were rated high for good performance in the snow.

    Anyone have experience ?
