System for an 05' access cab

So here's the deal, i would like to have a great sounding system that will fit in the confines of an access cab. I need everything from head unit all the way to the sub and amps. I don't want something that needs to be taken out everytime i have to use the back seats.

As for the sub box I have one of these that I built myself and saved the $90. I just move it from one side to the other if I have to get under one of the seats, but it has to be removed if I put the kids car seat in there. Little kids could sit there with out moving it out.

 

You're gonna be hard pressed to find a sub option that won't hinder your seats unless you build a box out of the storage compartments underneath them.

I did the same thing. It's a great little box. Combined with an Elemental Designs 8", I love it.

 

It's definitely possible to get a very nice system in an Access cab however you do have to give up at least some room as mentioned! Do you use the back seat for passengers or just cargo and how much space are you willing to give up?

 

Oh yeah! I forgot about those! The few that I've heard in person do sound really good. If I wanted that much bass, that would be the route I'd take.

(They sound even better when the engine is running, mjp. And no, the "vroom-vroom" sound you make with your mouth doesn't count.)

 

I think i have a similar set-up to what you want. I bought a custom 10'' box from ebay that sits between the 2 seats (looks good but its $$$) I also recommend buying the dash kit and speaker mounts from *********.com ( good quality product)

has anyone just upgraded the heck out of their speakers to get the better bass??
been looking at ********* and crutchfield. And thinking about getting a quality component system maybe.

I wonder if JL has really looked at the '09's yet. For '09 there's an additional storage compartment between the rear seats. It shouldn't interfere with current application but the picture isn't an accurate depiction for '09 access cabs.

The JL application is the setup I want but I've got bigger issues with the lack of speakers in the rear doors.
