Essential tools in your truck

    I am putting together a small tool/misc kit to carry in my truck. What do you guys carry with you to be always ready? This is not necessarily for serious off-roading, just driving around normally. What wouldn't you leave your garage with?

    So far I have:
    - Small air compressor (the portable kind that plugs into your 12v outlet)
    - 100ft of 1/4in rope
    - Ratcheting driver with assortment of bits (flat, philips, torx)
    - Flashlight
    - Assortment of bungee cords and straps

    Any other suggestions?

    I also carry a 30,000lb tow strap with hooks, jumper cables, 16 gauge speaker wire for quick fixes, wire stripper, and fuses.

    So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
    Toilet paper.

    I always keep some bungee cords, ratcheting tie downs and a bed net in the bed compartments. I also keep a hammer in the compartment under the back seat and a knife in the center console, along with screwdrivers and ratchets, sockets and all that.

    - set of metric and SAE wrenches
    - hand auger
    - hammer
    - Philips and flat screwdriver
    - set of SAE and metric allen wrenches
    - two sizes of crescent wrenches
    - two sizes of pipe wrenches
    - oil filter wrench
    - few chisels
    - bunch of drill bits
    - drywall mud
    - pan for drywall mud
    - putty knifes
    - hand saw
    - mitter saw box
    - wise grips
    - pliers
    - needle nose pliers
    - soldering iron
    - solder for electrical wire
    - bunch of screws, zip ties, bolts, etc...

    Straps;

    - 4 ratcheting straps
    - 1 bungee cord

    Then I have bunch of spare parts under the driver's side jump seat...

    LOL there might be more stuff, but that's all I can recall right now...
