Didnt know where else to post this to be relevant so it ended up here. Well I finally got my custom hitch receiver. Why do I want a custom hitch reciever? Cause I do! Have the hitch sitting there most of the time not being used and felt like giving the back of the truck a little unique touch. So here it is. I might paint it white though so it stands out more. And a big thanks to member: MetalMiller.

Thanks! Yeah i think im going to paint it white this weekend. I have white sockmonkey decals and white rear window stickers so it works. The rest of the truck is all blacked out except that pesky chrome bumper dammit!

Looks fantastic! I wanted one too but I still have fears of some little kid stepping on there, slipping and impaling a sweet little foot....

No kids allowed on or around the truck lol. just kidding. No i get your point. But i think it would be a far stretch for it to happen. its pretty darn close to the bumper.

I kinda like the look of it black matches your truck and gives it the full murdered look, just my 2 cents

It will stand out better if white, but since everything else is blacked out, I would leave it black. I would rather paint the chrome bumper black to match.

Well i tried to get some interest going here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/group-buys/169989-custom-hitch-receiver-cover-who-wants-one.html. I brought the idea up to MetalMiller and he thought it was a cool idea so he made me one since I came up with it. I paid $70 for mine. Yea some may say thats a little steep but i was cool with it. Im sure if enough people wanted them then they would get cheaper. But being that not that much interest was generated im not sure where he stands on trying to get a group buy or something going.

I'm assuming that's metal since it came from MetalMiller, if you plan on leaving it in year round, put some neverseize on the shaft portion so it doesn't rust itself to the receiver. I had a ball mount do that once and it took several hours, a torch and a BFH to get it loose.

    Looks nice though!
