So I have a 2011, 2WD, Pre runner, crew cab, V6 Tacoma. I'm looking to get it done and I don't know what to do. I know I for sure want new wheels and tires, a lift, and exhaust then maybe changing my headlights. I'm debating right now on a 3 inch lift with 33s, or a 6 inch lift with 35s. I want to see a difference with a lift and I want to be high up but I don't want a 6 to be too much for me. Yes I am a girl, but I don't see why that would be a factor. Any suggestions? or does anyone have any pictures of these lifts with the tires that I can see? Some people say that a 6 would be too much for me and some say other wise.

    Thanks

    +1.

6 inches on these trucks looks really tool-ish if you ask me. 3 inch is PERFECT! It's clearly beefier without looking like you're trying to over compensate for something.

Will I even see a difference with a 3 inch though? that's the only thing I am worried about because i want to be higher up and I've seen trucks that don't look like they even had a lift at all.

    You have a prerunner yes?

    Look into spindles.

IIRC you can get 4 inches of lift outta them.

Well I was all set on the OME lift from ARB. Now I'm thinking I want to equal the Baja '12 edition. Get the TSB 4 leaf pack with the same bilstein shocks as the baja edition Tacoma. Probably cheaper than the OME suspension.

You can always be in the middle and go with rcd 4.5 inch lift

Spindles lower where the front hub attaches. Basically, all the suspension components and controls arms are the same but the attachment point for the front hub is lower, thus giving you lift. If I were you, I'd go for the 3" suspension lift first and go the spindles route if you decide you still want more. You don't have to worry about CV angles since you're a prerunner but you might end up needing new upper control arms if you push a full 3" of lift to get your alignment back within spec. The suspension lift will make the truck ride and handle a lot better, spindles won't.

As far as what you will see, you will notice a 3" lift. Tire selection makes a big difference also. You can do a 3" suspension lift and run tires that are taller and gain a little more height.
