Jeep drivers have the Jeep wave, I've noticed around here Taco drivers just have what I'm branding The Taco Stare. Kinda like accidental eye contact when your taking a piss in a public restroom. Just a bad ass no emotion stare. No smiles, no waves, usually no nods. Just an unspoken understanding that we both have respect for each other. That seems to be the case around here at least.

    What say you?

    I stare.

Mostly I'm looking to see if they make the first move to a wave or a nod, since around here, tacomas are generally owned by retirees who don't really notice others.

I see and look at other Tacomas and look inside to see if the driver notices me or not. If not then I don't try to do anything further.

    Haha..that's funny!^^

I'm happy with the "I'll kick your ass" stare. To me, that's the same as a wave. I would definately give a nod back or whatever but that never happens, just the stare. I think it's great.

I usually give a wave or strike up a conversation with someone that has some sort of mod done to their truck. At least you know they like and take some pride in what they drive and are of somewhat like minded. Yesterday I pulled into the local Lowes and a guy was just getting out of his double cab, same color as mine. It was mostly a stock SR5, but he was sporting dual exhaust. I got out and said, "nice truck man." He chucked and then started asking me all about my lift and tires. That was cool.
