So I finally got around to installing this AFE Intake...

everything was going fine install perfect.. turned the truck on awesome...
I then took it for a drive and after about 5 mins and a lil pedal to the metal.

Im getting this flapping somewhat plastic hitting plastic at 15-17k RPMs:confused::confused::confused:
then i hit 2k and it goes away the normal sound comes back.

WHYYY was it the install? did i over tighten the screws? is it something to do with my engine?

more airflow maybe needs to break in?

thanks for all the help fellas. Im going to check under the hood tomorrow, after the rain goes away.:(

ALright soooooo after an hr of pulling apart trying different things this is what i came down to...

I tighten everything nice and snug i left the cover of the engine off and the cover on the intake off and no more sound:eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D:D:D

then I put them back on and i have very minimal sound so my question issss

can i just leave the intake cover off and drive it like that i know its going to get dirtier faster but ill just keep cleaning it.. or is there something else with in the intake manifold thats causing the problem..

sorry im taking a while to respond im trying to set up this Gorman trip/work on truck and working=]] life is fun..

On a new note for all you creepers=]]]
I have a new one for you enjoy.......
    But keep it clean okay
MODs if its too much please delete or let me know=]
