    Used two of my small quick fists, painted ALL hardware black. Wreck bar I found on side of the road, sandblasted it, then painted the same color as the highlift jack.

    It would have to take a massive hit for that thing to move. It is locked in there tight. Had the same thoughts in mounting location but believe you me, it isn't going anywhere unless I pull it off.

    To answer some of the questions above...
    I have an Undercover cover and it has two locks, so the inside of the bed no one see's unless cover is off or open.
    I used "quick fists" and mounted them on alum. stock, they in turn are mounted to the bed rails via Undercover rail blocks and screws/bolts (see mod section above).
    The outlet is not hot all the time, only when key is on, this will be changed when I install the Blue Sea fuse block. That project I am still working on (need a few things).
