why didnt you get rid of that stock core support and tie in a radiator brace right there to your engine cage?

saying bye bye to the core support is all part of the plan...the question is how soon i can execute that part of the plan...

ideally, what i want to do is ditch the core support and start in on the engine cage. just the foundation part, enought to mount everything to and leave it open so i'll be able to tie the cab cage into it and new bedcage will follow after that...

basically, what i need to do is stop spending money on other crap and find myseld a new DD

thats what i wanna do too! shiiittt. i think i may need to as well. the tacoma started out as my "better mpg" vehicle as my f1 isnt too wise.. but we are strictly driving my f1 now since i chopped my truck in half and i am dying with the mpg on that pig.

So I'm browsing tc and getting ready to order my alignment cam gussets and uca/coil bucket gussets but....tc says in bold the uca gussets will not fit other kits. Wtf really? I have a burg LT and want to gusset as much as I can upon install. Was looking at the solo ones. Any recommendations? Also heard one of them is a pita to weld in unless engine is removed and one not so much. Why don't camburg make this shit avail to customers!

I think the main point is to have aftermarket arms... unless the tc arms are drastically different than camburg which they don't look like it to me.. im sure it would be fine.. and if not an angle grinder could set it straight

Mike (mpj2) is running them on his truck. Also, check out the Kyle Green Fab (I think that's the name) or Solo-Motorsports makes them as well (they fit like a glove).

Kyle only has them for 2nd gens at the moment. I was thinking of giving him my truck to mock up 1st gen ones but havent had the time

Im pretty sure MJP2 said it has to do with the thickness. If you have aftermarket arms there is a washer on the very outside front and back. If you remove those you will have room for the thickness of the UCA gusset. With stock arms those washers are attached so you cannot add the extra thickness of the gusset

IMO the alignment cam gussets are a waste. You can make your own for about $20 in material and a grinder. I will even send you templates for a 1st gen if you want :)
