even cheaper..get a paint pen. after you have an alignment make a mark on each tab. then you know right where to put them back too if you knock them out. easy to do out on the trail too if you know you just took a good hit.

if you have the ability to break a good strong tack with a hard hit, something far more is broken then your alignment cams. i would be looking for the other half of my truck. ive welded every one of the cams on my trucks and have never smashed it hard enough to break that tack... and there are a few people on here that will be more than happy to tell you how abusive i was to those things.

MJP has the Burg kit and TC coil buckets. Granted it's a second gen, but it's the same "disclaimer" on TC's website.

If you don't want the TC bucket gussets, Solo Motorsports makes a multi piece gusset kit that is supposed to work with any LT kit.

FWIW, plan on grinding/fitting for fucking hours to get them to fit correctly. My coil buckets took me 9 hours to do...and I had no engine in my truck at the time.

The Solomotorsports UCA Gussets took about 10min a side to mock up properly, then time for welding, overall about 2hrs to do both sides Maybe it's cause they're 4-pieces per-side instead of 2.

FYI for second gens the Kyle Green Kit doesnt work with aftermarket control arms...not without modifying it. The actual coil bucket gusset plates (with the dimple die) need to be located inward (toward the engine) about 1/4". This mean that you need to make all new double shear plates to use that are 1/4" wider as well. Sucked balls but worked out ok.

    Picture during installation:

And the install woulda been way easier with the engine pulled, but with the proper weld preparation/penetration they can be installed just as strong with welding only on the wheel well side.

always..I have my rear to finish. matt's truck is going in around mid november and alex's truck as soon as anthony gets that kit to him. so we will have to squeeze you in between but it shouldn't be an issue

    yep

i actually do one at the 12 o clock, one between 4 and 5 o clock position, and one between 7-8 position. have yet to break one tack that way. end up taking a cut off wheel to the truck to get them loose again.

no prob. i guess other people have other ways of doing it, or they may not believe in the tack welding method... but it hasnt served me wrong and i lost a tranny brace, and both engine mounts all in one oops in the desert, and the tack welds did what they were supposed to do... so ill say that tacking it is more than good enough.

well yes.. it was... travisfab can tell you all about that oops... had a buddy in the truck with me that hadnt ridden in it after the v8 swap. asked me to floor it on a night ride at about 10 pm. hit a hole that was 3 feet deep by about 5 feet wide at 98 mph (yes gps speed so that is no bullshit). took out more than its fair share of shit including a tranny crossmember, both engine mounts, a driveshaft, and my bias controllers for the front and rear of my truck. there are pictures floating around somewhere of that night... if the tack welded alignment cams lasted through that, then ill stick with what i know. ill tack them.

im not saying a tack on the cams wont work....of coarse they will as long as the tack penetrates. How many people on here even have a welder? i was merely giving another option...i have ran tacks and prefer the paint pen..just my 2 cents for what its worth
