Ya not a good day for my Taco. Accident was completely my fault I admit full responsibility so please no comments in that direction  After being 8 years accident free i learned that working/making phone calls and making notes at the same time is not safe. Working 10-12 hour days is taking its toll on me and I was trying to finish early today... ya that worked...

    Anyways here are pictures of the damage;

Its not horrible and completely fixable. However the main question is; I have $1000 deductible and no money to pay it. Can I go anyway around it? I have a loan on the truck with Arizona Central Credit Union and they wont sign off on the check.

I need all the advice I can get on fixing this. I can't even fix it myself, because I have no way of how to get my hands on the insurance money... And I could fix it myself... Secondly I would like to get Prerunner bumper, anyone has any experience with doing that while going through insurance company?

IMO thats not even 1k worth of damages... at least i dont think. you should be able to find a fender and a bumper for like 500 bucks.

Radiator support is bend, plus several small bars under the headlights... Its more than that...

That's way more than $1k. It's more than just the fender and bumper. Just the paint work alone might be that much. Just my opinion.

Anyway, if the insurance or credit union would not give you the check, you are stuck. You will have to go through a body shop, and therefor you will have to come up with the deductible.
If you fix it yourself you will have to come up with the money anyway.

You can probably buy all the parts including the headlight from a chinese aftermarket auto body parts store for < $300. Except of course the radiator support piece which you have to bend back in place. Problem is the paint work which is not going to be cheap. Toyota has a history of making toy front ends that cave when you breath on them.

I pretty much did the same thing to my truck. Your stuck just paying the $1000 deductible bud. That is more than a grand of damage. Sucks but youll save the money it sooner or later. Good Luck.

Ya thats what I am thinking too. For now I might just drive it like it is and save up for deductible... With my hammer I got the hood to close and latch so its safe to drive.

How about cleaning out the garage and selling some stuff you don't need? And then maybe a family member can loan you the rest? Do some side jobs for neighbors? Do they need any hauling done? Will the overtime money from working 10-12 hours come soon?

With one headlight, I disagree; it's not safe to drive.

Oh boy, trust me when I say this. It is more than $1000 damage if you want it fixed RIGHT. just pay your deductible and choose the right shop. A nice shop (like ours) will be able to get you the bumper you want wether you have to pay the difference or not. But things like that might be different up here.

Definitely way more than $1000. Especially if you need paint work as well.

you don't have to pay the 1000 deductable. They will subtract 1000 from the reoairs and hand you a check. Then off to get an ARB and next there won't be any problems.

    WTF are you talking about??

OP- Hopefully that was enuf of a wake up that texting/phone/notes/etc at the wheel isn't a good idea. The brain cannot multitask-and shitty stuff happens when you try.
Good luck saving up and figuring it out...You might want to look at lowering your deductible too-1K is really only helpful when you do have the extra money laying around...

    Salary :/

As I stated my dumbness and I take all responsibility for it. What sucks is that I get many, many calls a day and 95% of the time its work calls and I gotta answer.
