There are two decent 4x4 trails up on Prentice Cooper SP. The first one is a series of loop trails to the right after the shooting range. Its called Persimmon Road and has three connecting loops. The other 4x4 trail is Haley Road which drops off the property with a creek crossing. Fun to decend / ascend and keep exploring the park.

While not true 4x4, there is a nice loop trail right behind Davis Pond.

    Here's a map. http://tn.gov/agriculture/publications/forestry/PCSF_map.pdf

    wean in knox ar you?

have you ever been to Royal blue? it’s along i-75 like exit’s 134 and 144. thats wear we go 4wheeling. never taken a truck up there. but i know some of the trails that trucks can go down you would be OK on most with a stock 4wd. but on some of them i would not go alone and with out a tow strap. i know there are a few trail i would not go with out good trail/mud tires and maybe a 3” lift.

if some of you knoxville guys would like to maybe get together (say get 3 to5 of us together)and maybe go up there for a few hours let me know and i could show you some stuff/ around a bit. with out a map or someone that knows how to get around some up there you can get very lost and not have cell service! and best part about it is you can ride 24h a day. just have to get the right permit. but if you have a hunting and fishing license that works just as well and you don’t need anything.

I'm in maryville, about a half hour south of knoxville. i'd love to get together with some more experienced offroaders but oftentimes it's hard to schedule in a time. dumb school...but yeah. we should see about doing something like that.

saw a nice red DC2nd gen looked to be a SB. today on i-75 between chat and knoxville. closer to knoxville, heading north/east stuck in traffic before some bridge work around 4:45 or so. i was heading to chat. looked like it had a 3” lift and some rack over the bed. did not get a good look. just wondering if it was someone on here.
