tacoma rear compressed length is 14.65" from center of eye to center of stem bushing and has 9" stroke if i remember correctly .

now lets say the svt shocks have a 8" resi. by the looks they will be a couple inches too long. just my educated guess. and the stem to eye conversion add somewhere around 3/4"-1". now if the foxes fit in the lower shock mounts you may be able to make a upper shock mount so you dont have to cut the bed.

would be pretty cool if it would work. if they cant be revalved/adjusted by you im sure fox can do it . i really like the shaft guards too very motorcycleish

If you guys do find they work for you all let me know. I have access to these off of the Raptors. So you can buy them. Also If you guys want I can measure them

Okay, well I'm running the AP Expos and I need approx. a 9.5"-10" Shock (Extended to Compressed) so if they're 9" with a shock adapter they'd be almost perfect.

    Also like the shock guards:cool:

Good to know:cool:, I wouldn't mind experimenting with them.

Well been doing some more research on this...

    Stock Raptor Rear Shock Specs:

    Extended Length: 29.5"
    Compressed Length:
    Travel:

Specs for 3" Lift Shocks on Tacoma:
    Travel: 9.5"-10"
Extended: 25" (Slight variant depending on Brand)
Compressed: 15" (Slight variant depending on Brand)

Working on finding missing info

do you mean 9.5-10" of stroke? it sounds like your looking for a shock with 9" eye to eye compressed length .

and since you have the jouncestops i would cycle the suspension to find out exactly what you need.
follow the instructions to release the nitrogen from the jouncestops .

teardown the leafpack to the single main leaf .

make a spacer the thickness of the leafs that were pulled out and
install with those fancy new striker plates i made you .

then you can cycle the suspension properly.

put to full bump and measure from the center of the lower shock mount to the bottom of the mounting surface on the frame .

do this for both sides as the numbers will be slightly different. take the difference and subtract .5" to account for articulation and worn/broken striker tips.

use this number to get your shocks so you know everything will be right

install shocks and drive off into the sunset ,knowing that you did it right.

Okay, would a tire shop be able to re-charge them with nitrogen? As I know nothing about re-charging shocks or bumps. Also, read the LR website, what pressure should I have them re-charged too? (says they come at 40psi, but that seems low:notsure:).

I'll definitely do this when I install everything so I know I have purchase the proper shocks.

    Thanks Mike:cool:

they usually come charged at 80 psi for the rears. thats a good starting point. you will need the extended filler to fill the jouncestops.

dont know if a tire shop will have the proper psi. try a motorcycle repair/performance shop maybe. or hell maybe even a welding supply shop.

since your out in the sticks and your screwing around with rebuildable shocks , you should put together a small simple nitrogen setup . i put mine together for under 220$

So you weren't even driving it? I'd say thats contestable. It's Not illegal to own a "race truck" just to drive it on a public road. CA over reaches the law in so many ways. stick it to them.

I was told that I shouldn't tack my alignment cams in place because they are cast steel and welding them would weaken them. Is this true?
