iOS 5 and iPhone 4S

Does anyone know who apple is shipping with? UPS? FedEx? DHL? USPS? etc. And is a signature required?

That's gonna suck if I can't even get it activated on that Friday because no one would be home to receive it.

For those of you concerned about the proximity sensor, don't be. As long as you keep your screens/screen protectors relatively clean, you won't have anything to worry about.

The only reason you can see it on the white phone is because the sensor is black, so there is a strong contrast.

I can't preorder via the web given that I am on a business account, so I will probably wait about a month, then go into the Apple store, play around with the phone, see if I think it will be worth it, and then decide.

Either way, I'm stoked to get the final version of iOS 5 on my personal phone. iOS 5 has been awesome on our test iPhone and iPad.

Congrats to those of you that have preordered it already! I suggest you all look into the LifeProof cases - they rock.

My only suggestion on cases would be to NOT go with a clear plastic case. You will have it covered with scratches after a day or two. I'm a total freak (bitch) about my phones, I take insanely good care of them, and on my very first iPhone I had a clear plastic case. It lasted about two days before I got rid of it for a rubber case.

Looking forward to hearing how you guys like the 4S!

I like the LifeProof because it is water, shock and dust proof and doesn't add much bulk to it.

I some how got a early discount so it was 299 sick i think i am ordering the lifeproof case in black it covers the screen to right? that would be the only way it was water proof right DERP!

 

AT&T has always (to my knowledge) allowed an early discount if you got your phone within a certain timeframe from a new one being released.

I'm in the same boat...just have to decide if I want to do it.
