    That looks really nice!

and sounds like Maaco might be the best bet for a shop to do it.. I was quoted 50 bucks from a friends shop with the guy only charging for the paint, supposedly.

I did the duplcolor thing and was not happy with it. See if you can find a bumper repaire cat on crack list they are cheep and do good work most of the time, it always cost more to clear coat it so I dont. I want to start making them as a hobby, but I think Ill get my own spray gun, as it will help keep the price down. I cut the small sides out of the one I m working on now and its looking real good, Traded the man that runs my pet food store for his grill (040)and 150 for the first one I did. Im on #3 now and each one is better.. I dont use fiberglass only epoxy to put in the small cut outs cut them tight so no bondo is needed. I'm to picky so they take time...Jim

Cant you just sand the chrome. Clean with rubbing alcohol. Then get body shop to paint it?

Some people have had issues with adhesion to the chrome, even after sanding.

Removing it all together makes for a good clean bond to the raw plastic.

About an hour with a 25 degree tip and a good pressure washer at first I was just pressure cleaning the black paint off because it was flaking then the chrome bubbled up and I was like well hell I'll just take it all off lol
