Bilstein 5100/Eibach Coilover Question

As of right now, my truck sits at factory rake, etc with the exception of a TSB. I measured the ground-to-fender distance at the centerline of each wheel and my front measurements came out at 34" while the rear was at 37.25"

My question is this: If I want to lift the front and level it, will I be able to sit level by installing the Toytech/Bilstein coilovers in the front, with the 5100s set at .85 and Eibachs, giving the standard lift of just under 3" (I have a DC so I won't get the full 3")? I also would install standard 5100s in the rear for improved ride, I just would skip an AAL because I prefer the look of leveled as opposed to lifted with the standard rake.

I know this likely is a stupid question but I'm just relying on the somewhat limited knowledge I have of suspensions and the common sense calculation that if I have 3.25" of rake now and raise the front by ~3", I'll more or less level it out. I want to see if the experts here have any advice as to whether I missed something and would get a "bro-lean" if I did this.

So u do or don't have the rear tsb?

I sit with slight rake with eibach/5100 @.85 and a 2inch AAL.

If u don't have anything in the back, or just the tsb... I'd just get the eibach springs which lift 1.6 inches themselves.

 

Sorry, I wasn't clear about the TSB. I meant that with the exception of the TSB which I had done, I sit at factory rake.

Thanks for your advice, what do others think about that idea? I hadn't thought of that because typically I had been seeing shocks as the primary or first upgrade.

 

I have the 5100s at .85 with Eibachs and tsb springs in the rear. My hub to fender measurements are exactly the same at 23" all the way around but I'm looking for 1/2-1" of rear lift so I have a little rake.

I'm setup stock with the TSB leaf pack, and I like the stance right now, but was thinking about adding a small lift. Was going to run 5100's, Eibachs, and the 1.5" TSB AAL from Toytech, but I'm concerned about the stance of the truck after.

Anybody got pictures of this setup? What setting should the 5100's be to keep my rake? Or assuming that I have the same measurements as the OP, I can run just 5100's and Eibachs at 0 to get the 1.6 from the spring and my rear will still be slightly higher? So if I ran Eibachs and 5100s at 0 with the 1.5, I should just be lifting the front 1.6 and rear 1.5, so I'd be about what I am now, just a little higher?

Sorry if I'm thread jacking, just thought it would fit with this.

 

You won't get 3" of lift out of Eibachs and 5100's set at .85. You'll be just under 2.5" (1.6" of lift from Eibachs and .85 from the 5100's).

 

Here is a crappy pic of my setup. 5100's @ .85" with Eibach's, Toytec 1/2" spacer (driver side) and 1/4" spacer (passenger side). Toytec 1.5" AAL with 5100's. No TSB leaf pack.

edit: Also have Light Racing UCA's installed.

My measurements from hub to fender are 23" front and 23 1/2" rear

 

Ajohnson what size tires are you running? Did you change your upper control arms?

 

Yea I forgot to mention I have Light Racing UCA's.

265/75/16 Duratracs. I will probably step up to 285's when these are done but that will be a while.

 

Thanks I'm planning on adding the bigger spacer to the driver's side and moving the smaller one to the passenger side when I can afford the light racing arms. New skins are a bit more of a necessity first though

 

i have ome 885 with 5100's set to stock and the rear tsb done. i am exactly 1 inch high in the rear...it bugs me!!
