Hey I'm new sorry. I own a white 05 2.7L 5-lug. I know the biggest tire size on your stock 15s is 235/75/15. Was wondering if anyone can please post some pics of there truck with big tires on your stock wheels. I heard you can do the "black box" mod and put even bigger tires without rubbing.

    ~Thanks

I did the black box mod, but I am pretty sure it was not necessary.

225 is a good size, hasn't bogged the truck down at all. Still rolls around great.

I did paint the rims. I rattle canned them.

From my understanding it's these black boxes that connect to the mud flaps or something if we had the pre runner or 4x4 but since we dont I don't think you need them. If someone could clarify to me also that would be rad.

I do not have a lift. The LT235/75R15 fit without any modifications, however i did do the black box mod before the tires were put on, thinking that i would need the extra clearance. I love my Yokohama tires, but i don't do any real offroading or anything. I noticed the ride was a little stiffer and i think it is because the tires are "LT" rated and not "P" like the stock tires are. The "LT" have a stiffer sidewall and are for light trucks, i believe. Someone can correct me if I am wrong about that.

I would like to get bigger shoes for mine. Those 225/70R/15 are just too damn shitty.

i put 225/75/15 because they were taller than 225/70.if you chech the 225/75 is taller than the 235/70.also with the 225/75 i got what i feel is respectable look without any lack of power from the ratio change these mods will make.i will post i have a 12 with kumho on it.
