I have Icons w/aftermarket(Builtright) upper control arms, and AAL rear w/correct length Bilstiens. I really like the handeling and control of the Icons and Bilstiens, but hate the AAL. They shift out of line and they squeak all the time. I should have got the 3" expo pack from Allpro, which I'll get in the future.

Why are you considering a procomp lift?

Is this just going to be a street queen or do you plan to wheel the truck?

I posted two questions, I did not post an opinion.

No need to air your insecurities on an open forum.

The guys who actually wheel Toyotas in Vegas know who the posers are and who actually wheels their 6" lifts. Most guys who build a truck to wheel DO NOT buy drop bracket lifts.

I am asking, so do I count as a "real wheeler"? I got the 6" lift, brackets n stuff. I remember on a trail one time I blew by this hilux baja style truck. Left in the wake of my dust. Crawled over shit n didn't really worry about clearing stuff. Idk. I'm just saying. No hating.

Clearance is the biggest issue. With a drop bracket lift, you dont necessarily gain much clearance, it just moves all mounting locations lower and the body higher. With a 3", the idea is to stretch the lower control arm down, thus raising all mounting locations, body, andn frame. Like MOT has said, it's completely up to you as to what you will like. I prefer 3" for one reason over a 6", well, Ray demonstrated it when he was tippin' good. Higher center of gravity = greater chance of tipping over, and less ability of side-hill driving. Ray tackled everything without a hitch, as well as others with lower lifts. Ultimately you want something lower to the ground that can STRETCH over obstacles.

Clearance to frame is mostly in tire size. The bigger tire you can get to fit, without limitting manueverability, the better off you are.

    That's my $0.02

    No BS needed! :D
