    Just wanted to get peoples opinions on what they thought looked better or if there was any performance advantage between 17 or 18 inch wheels w a 3" suspension lift?

    Your alot less likely to get curb rash with 17's but the 18's do look alot better IMO

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Generally, for off road, you want more tire sidewall ( Smaller wheel), to let the tire flex around obsticals, and get more traction. For street, you want less tire side wall for stiff ness, and increased grip on the raod. With that said, whats your intended use for the truck?

    Bigger looks better,imo. I have 20's on my truck & they look great. I had 18's on my 1st gen tacoma.

    it'll be mostly street but some off roading. no extreme off roading tho

    Well, My Wife bought me my Wheels, shortly after I lifted it. I wanted 16's, but she got me 18's. I think they look good, and they have not hurt me off roading at all. ;)

    I rock 18's and love them. their is still enough tire not to get curb rash on the rims with 33" tires.

    If you are looking for functionality, I would go with a 16" setup. The larger side wall will greatly improve your off road ride and performance, while also improving on road ride quality.

    If you are strictly looking for looks and nothing more, 17" up to around 22" looks good IMO. Tires just get quite expensive at these sizes. Something else to consider if you travel much, having a flat in the middle of no-where. You are much less likely to get a large rim size out in the boonies. Just food for thought.

    ive got 18's on both my tacomas, the ones on the 2nd gen are factory though. i like the look of them alot and with a 33" tire you still have enough sidewall to air down and not have to worry about anything.
